What is the average number of transactions loaded to the data warehouse from the various source systems staging schemas per night?

Answer:

Over 3,000,000 transactions are provided to the staging tables per night in our largest installation. These transactions are compared to the data warehouse database and approximately 10% become change transactions for the data warehouse fact tables.
This processing can range from eight (8) hours on development hardware (which often is scaled smaller than the live environment) to four (4) hours on production hardware.
In our largest installation, there are six (6) years of pacing data held in the Fact Partitions. These partitions represent about two (2) TBytes of disk. The MOLAP cube of this data represents about 150GBytes.
