Are any special SQL server licensing options recommended for larger implementations?

Answer:
We recommend the Enterprise level of SQL Server licensing. For the data warehouse server, the SQL Server license should be at the Enterprise level to support the partitioning of the large fact tables. For the Cube server(s), the SQL Server license should be at the Enterprise level to support Measure Group partitioning, replication, and perspectives.
