BIAnalytix Question: BIAnalytix upgrade frequency

With what frequency does Decentrix provide BIAnalytix software upgrades?

Answer:
A Business Intelligence system by its nature is dynamic and evolving to meet the strategic needs of the business. In a Business Intelligence system, additional analysis (an upgrade) is driven daily by strategic and operational requirements. New reports and dashboards, and calculated measure additions and changes are often deployed in minutes on a daily basis. For the most part, these processes do not impact the underlying architecture of the system.

On a larger scale, dimension and other cube changes are normally deployed much less frequently and are carefully planned to coincide with full cube processes and are always pre-tested (hence the value of a separate development/pre-production system). ETL and schema changes to include additional data are normally processed on a monthly cycle after testing. These changes are all driven by client requirements not by BIAnalytix baseline updates.

The latest licensed BIAnalytix module baselines are delivered approximately twice per year and the additional features supported that are relevant and desired can be selected for integration by either the client team or Decentrix.

Of course major upgrades in operating system software are managed by the client’s IT policy.
