Each Business Intelligence user is granted sales and revenue data access pertinent to their authorized level of the sales management hierarchy which, where applicable, includes all of the data for its corresponding AE members.

The benefit of utilizing a sales management data security model is that a user can be granted (or restricted) access to sales data at a variety of different levels of the sales management hierarchy within a company. This approach allows regional directors to see only their region or office managers to see only their own sales figures. The security is implemented at the data cube so that users can perform any analysis drill down using any reporting technology they select within their security slice of data. Note that any number of users can be connected to a node in the sales hierarchy so that executives, managers, assistants, and research staff can be given security at the desired level.
