These source system totals are compared to the intermediate totals derived by the ETL at 3 steps in the loading process. If totals do not match, individual inner joins are used to detect any missing dimension members in the supplied transactions causing the loss of transactions. In addition to logging status tables, emails are sent immediately to operators on the failure information or success of the processes.
