BIAnalytix Question: Education, Training, and Installation

For labor efforts for education/training/installation – is this fixed price? What is included?

Answer:
The hourly rate for consulting hours is fixed by the contract. The number of hours quoted is for the full installation of the module, the validation of the processes and the data, and the training of the client’s IT staff in all aspects of the operation and enhancement skills. We expect that the process can be executed at, or within these hours for all of the quoted scope. These are estimates from Decentrix experience in a number of previous similar installations of the modules. Only the consulting hours actually incurred are invoiced, so should the hours be less than quoted, then the cost will be lower. However, it is possible that scope changes are introduced in the course of a project, and as we all know that can make installation times elastic. Consequently it is possible that scope creep could introduce increases in consulting time. It is also true that the technical skills of the client’s IT staff can speed up the installation milestones when the client’s team takes operational responsibility and these skills also can reduce the number of training hours necessary.
