Perspectives can be used to logically split up the cube into smaller, more manageable views of the data making it much less intimidating to the business users. Perspectives do not physically break up the data, but control the visibility of the objects in the cube. Dimensions, Attributes, Hierarchies, Measure groups, Measures, Key Performance Indicators, Calculations and Actions are all objects that can be defined in a perspective. Perspectives are not meant to enforce data security; their purpose is to create a better user experience through simplification of complex structures.
BIAnalytix
is an advanced Data Warehouse and Business intelligence system that utilizes Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services, which allows users to implement Perspectives in the OLAP cube to simplify the filtering of data.
